Current Work
My interests include developing solution procedures for solving the equations governing the physics of chemically reacting gases with applications to high temperature plasma around reentry vehicles and nonthermal plasma for flow control using plasma actuators. The governing equations encompass multiple disciplines including the physics of charged particles: governed by Maxwell's equations, the dynamics of fluid: governed by the NavierStokes equations and the chemistry of reacting gases in thermochemical nonequilibrium.
In my doctoral research, I have developed and validated a numerical solver which solves the governing equations for multiple, chemically reacting species in a flow. The solver is part of the opensource suite of tools, SU^{2} and has a general formulation for any number of species and chemical reactions in the flow.
