Bio
Harsh Patel is a PhD candidate in the Department of Aeronautics & Astronautics at Stanford University. His research involves the application of multidisciplinary design, analysis, and optimization techniques and tools within the context of conceptual aircraft design. Ongoing research efforts specifically focus on introducing metrics of aircraft trim and stability & control in gradient-based design optimizations. His work explores the use of a discrete adjoint method for efficiently computing fully-coupled aero-structural-trim sensitivities, with a particular emphasis on industrial applications.
